Institut National de Recherche en Informatique et Automatique (INRIA) - France

INRIA is a national research institute. The team involved in MAESTRO, the Epidaure group, is located in Sophia Antipolis and  conducts research in medical image analysis, simulation and robotics.

The main research topics currently concern shape and motion representation, rigid and non-rigid registration, tracking and analysis of deformations, analysis of functional images, simulation of surgery (including modeling of soft tissues), image-guided therapy, as well as reconstruction, analysis, and fusion of various sources of biomedical optical images acquired at various scales.

In MAESTRO project INRIA carries out, in collaboration with Dosisoft, the development of software dedicated to biomedical tomographic images processing including multimodality imaging, and automatic image contouring including the use of "anatomic atlas" (WP2).
