The School of Computing Sciences is part of  UEA (located at Norwich) which is involved in cancer research and has experience in medical image understanding, image registration, tracking using deformable models. Graphics and Computer Vision represents the largest research grouping within the School of Computing Science (12 faculty) and is internationally recognised for its work in image segmentation, fusion, and tracking

UEA’s  new medical school, opened in 2001 and is co-located adjacent on the campus with the Norwich University Hospital.

In MAESTRO project UEA is involved in the development of organ tracking motion system.
