Institut Gustave Roussy (IGR) - France The Institute Gustave-Roussy, a non profit private institution, is a major oncology center in Europe, located in Villejuif near Paris. Its Radiation Oncology Department is in size the first RT center in France having 3000 patients / year (> 400 Brachytherapy), 30 physicians (13 staff), 9 Physisists, 8 dosimetrists and computer engineers with High level medico-technical teams and multi disciplinary teams. The IGR is a reference center for radiation oncology and also an ESTRO reference center for dose verification (the EQUAL laboratory was installed at IGR). In MAESTRO project IGR directs clinical activities that cover defining radiotherapy requirements, assessing Quality Assurance procedures and protocols, validating processes and equipments developed, and risk assessment issues.
